Brydie wins bronze in 200m backstroke in final test against Australia
Congratulations to Brydie Whitehead
New Zealands 20 best age group swimmers competed against two Australian teams over six tests held in Mt Maunganui, Taupo and Masterton and the first time in six years this series has been in New Zealand. Brydie was called up at very short notice and proved her position in the NZ team gaining several finals placings and saving the best until last with a bronze medal in 200m backstroke in a time of 2:17.17.
Brydie also gained 3rd place in the 50m backstroke skins, a pb in the heat and then the semi. she was also part of the 4x50m girls medley relay team which gained 3rd position.
