Tonight was definitely Dylan's night with a superb solo performance beating the 20 year old national record of the great Dayon Loader in winning the 800m freestyle.

Dylan who has been based in Queensland for the past year under Australian coach Denis Cotterell clocked 8:03.09 smashing his Taranaki record of 8:09.78 set in 2009.  Sky sport has the highlights of each day at 1.30pm and again at 6pm.

Racing continues until Friday.
