Julian Weir Takes Gold and Smashes TR Record at NAGs
Julian celebrated his 15th birthday last night by taking out the gold medal in the boys 15yr 50m backstroke in a new Taranaki record time of 27.99 beating his previous time of 28.90.
Other finalists for the first night of the National Age Group championships were Ann-Marie O'Donnell 14yr 6th 400m freestyle, Bianca Bradley 17-18yr 8th 400m freestyle, Julian Weir 15yr 10th 200IM, Brock Wilson 17-18yr 10th 50 backstroke, Ryan Cooper 14yr 8th 50m backstroke.
The meet continues until Saturday.
