Taranaki Swimmers in Winning Form at Grand Prix Finale
We were by far the smallest team but proved we could mix it at the top.
Congratulations to Charlotte Webby who won the top female athlete with 775 FINA points in her 800m freestyle swim. Charlotte was also 1st in 200m freestyle, 200m butterfly, 400m freestyle, 2nd in 100m butterfly, 50m butterfly.
Other placegetters were:
Brydie Whitehead - 1st 200 backstroke (TR record), 100m backstroke, 2nd 50m backstroke (TR record), 3rd 200m IM.
Nikaela Gilmer - 1st 400IM, 3rd 200m breaststroke.
Brock Wilson - 3rd 100m butterfly.
Martin Weir - 3rd 200m breaststroke.
Julian Weir - 3rd 50m backstroke, 100m backstroke.
